What is the CompTIA Authorized Service Center (ASC)?
CompTIA ASC offers business-level credentials that recognize businesses that employ technicians that hold CompTIA certifications in the areas of PC repair, Network & Server Support, and Printing & Document Imaging.

What types of designations are available?
For businesses that support PC and PC-related peripherals there is the CompTIA A+ ASC and CompTIA A+ ASC Gold designations. For businesses specializing in networking projects and server support there is the CompTIA ASC Network & Server Support and CompTIA ASC Gold Network & Server Support designations. And for businesses specializing in printing and document imaging support, there is the CompTIA PDI+ ASC and CompTIA PDI+ ASC Gold designations.

What does the CompTIA ASC credential mean?
To be a CompTIA Authorized Service Center means CompTIA has validated that at least 50 percent of an applicant's technical staff has earned the CompTIA certification associated to the ASC designation (CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Server+, or CompTIA PDI+).

What does the CompTIA ASC Gold credential mean?
To be a CompTIA Authorized Service Center Gold means CompTIA has validated that 100 percent of an applicant's technical staff has earned the CompTIA certification associated to the ASC designation (CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Server+, or CompTIA PDI+) and taken the CompTIA Customer Service Excellence Program.

What is the importance behind being CompTIA A+ Certified?
The CompTIA A+ certification is an international industry credential that validates the knowledge of computer service technicians with the equivalent of 500 hours of hands-on experience. Major hardware and software vendors, distributors and solution providers accept CompTIA A+ as the standard in foundation-level, vendor-neutral certification for service technicians.

What if I have applied for the CompTIA ASC Gold designation but have not yet passed the CompTIA Customer Service Excellence Program?
Upon your written commitment to work towards CompTIA ASC Gold status CompTIA will activate your status immediately but will conduct quarterly checkpoints to make sure acceptable steps are being taken to satisfy the CompTIA ASC Gold requirements.

How can I enroll into the CompTIA ASC program?
Before being accepted in the CompTIA ASC program, participants are required to submit a list of its technicians to CompTIA for confirmation. CompTIA then uses its database to verify the technicians' names and CompTIA CareerID numbers (a confidential unique identification number that links technicians to certifications earned). How do I enroll into the CompTIA ASC Gold program?
The process to enroll into the CompTIA ASC Gold program is the same enrolling in to the ASC program, but more specific criteria needs to be met. If your company does not yet meet the CSEP requirements for a CompTIA ASC Gold designation, a CompTIA representative will contact you to set up a schedule and checkpoints for meeting the requirement.
