Why Choose a CompTIA ASC?

When you choose a CompTIA Authorized Service Center (ASC), you know you will receive quality technical service. Businesses that meet even higher technical and customer service requirements are given the ASC Gold designation.

CompTIA certifications receive worldwide use and recognition. CompTIA certifications are built with the knowledge of experts and industry leaders from the public and private sectors, including training, academia and the government and validate the latest skills needed by today's support professionals. Major hardware and software vendors, distributors and resellers accept CompTIA certifications as the standard in foundation-level, vendor-neutral certifications for service technicians.

Have the right people at the right time deliver the right solution to you. Insist that your technical services are performed by CompTIA certified professionals.

Program Credential Verification
To ensure standards are met and that businesses employ CompTIA certified technicians, ASC applicants must go through a meticulous validation process.

Each ASC participant company is required to submit a list of its technicians to CompTIA for confirmation of certification. CompTIA then uses its database to verify the technicians' names and CompTIA CareerID numbers (a confidential unique identification number that links technicians to certifications earned). A manual credential check is then performed to ensure accuracy.

This process guarantees that the staff is comprised of the requisite amount of CompTIA certified technicians before accepting the company into an ASC program. Companies seeking to participate in the ASC Gold program need to meet higher technical and customer service requirements.

CompTIA A+ Authorized Service Center (ASC):
The CompTIA ASC seal validates that a minimum of 50 percent of a shop's technical staff are CompTIA A+ certified. The CompTIA A+ certification is an international industry credential that validates the knowledge of computer service technicians with the equivalent of 500 hours of hands-on experience. Major hardware and software vendors, distributors and resellers accept CompTIA A+ as the standard in foundation-level, vendor-neutral certification for service technicians.

CompTIA A+ Authorized Service Center (ASC) Gold:
The ASC Gold Seal validates that each company's staff is comprised of 100 percent A+ certified technicians. In addition to validating that technicians hold industry recognized vendor neutral CompTIA certification, companies applying for ASC Gold status must enroll 100 percent of its applicable technical staff in CompTIA's Customer Service Skills Accreditation to ensure that their customers are treated effectively, efficiently, and with top level customer service and receive first-time resolution.

CompTIA Authorized Service Center Network & Server Support:
The CompTIA ASC seal validates that a minimum of 50 percent of a shop's technical staff are CompTIA Network+ or Server+ certified. These CompTIA certifications are international industry credentials that validate the knowledge of networking and server professionals.

CompTIA Authorized Service Center Gold Network & Server Support:
The ASC Gold Seal validates that each company's staff is comprised of 100 percent Network+ or Server+ certified technicians. In addition to validating that technicians hold industry recognized vendor neutral CompTIA certifications, companies applying for ASC Gold status must enroll 100 percent of its applicable technical staff in CompTIA's Customer Service Skills Accreditation to ensure that their customers are treated effectively, efficiently, and with top level customer service and receive first-time resolution.

CompTIA Network+™ certification is an international industry credential that validates the knowledge of networking professionals with at least nine months of experience in network support or administration or adequate academic training. A typical candidate would have CompTIA A+ certification or equivalent knowledge, but this is not a prerequisite. An accepted foundation-level, vendor-neutral certification for networking professionals, many IT certifications integrate CompTIA Network+ into their curriculums.

CompTIA Server+ certification is an international industry credential that validates the knowledge of individuals with 18-24 months of experience with Industry Standard Server Architecture (ISSA) technology. Professionals who want to certify their advanced technical knowledge in areas such as RAID, SCSI, multiple CPUs and the like, should consider this certification.
